Newbie needs opinion on what to do with my sx12

Hello everyone, I have an RE SX12 d2 that now has a fried tinsel lead. It happened to break right in the middle. My question is what should I do with it? Is it possible to get a new tinsel lead and install it? Would it be worth sending it out? I live in ny mind you. Any input is greatly appreciated.

well you could solder it back together i think?

I think I would have to get someone else to solder it if possible because, personally, I wouldn't be able to do it. It's a woven tinsel lead that is snapped/fried in half a little closer towards the cone. I was also thinking that if the bead of solder is too heavy it might slap the cone and damage it or itself relatively quickly. What do you think?
