Hi guys, Im completely new to the car audio scene and am working on a whole system for my vehicle and im stuck at picking out speakers and an amp.. i've got an 06 tiburon and don't know exactly what kind of speaker amp i need. I've been told to look at the 4 channel speaker amps. I don't want to spend over 370$ on one but would really like one with great sound quality.

thanks all!

would

i4500 - Image Dynamics 4-Channel 460 Watt i-Series Amplifier

or

SAX-100.4D - Sundown Audio 100W 4-Channel Amplifier

be any good?

Very nice choice on the front speakers, you'll definitely be happy with those. Rear speakers I can't comment. I follow the practice of using cheap or no rear speakers so I don't know enough about them to really say if those are worth the money. Not sure if you have subs or have intentions to get a substage together, but if you do, I'd cheap out on the rears a little more. If you don't plan on subs, then go for it pending no one else here has better suggestions. Glad to see you're spending more on the front stage though, most noobs instantly want to load up the rear deck and expect massive bass lol.

The amps, you have two very nice options there. Sundown will give you a little more power for the money while the ID will be more SQ oriented. In all honesty though, and it's your choice, you likely won't notice a difference is quality yourself. I probably wouldn't and I've been in this for a bit now but I'd go with the ID amp. It's cheaper and will still power those 2 ohm comps nicely.

can find better 6x9 (id avoid them but if thats wat u wanna do, go for it)...those IDs are beautiful...ive got 2 pair ctx65cs on 2 sax50.4...so as far as your amps, id personally do a 50.4 bridged (160w per channel) and grab a decent amp that does like 200w per channel (if u stick with the eclipse)...itll sound great

so i need better 6x9's? arent too much to choose from >
do i need to 2 ohms version of the ID's or the 4 ohms version
For those amp choices, stick with the 2 ohms, which are the ones you linked to(CXS52). The 4 ohms(CXS54) will work well with the sundown because the sundown is 100watts x 4 @ 4 ohms. So the sundown will power either version. The ID however is 75watts x4 @ 4ohms so it would slightly underpower the 4 ohms. Both amps can push the 2 ohms with ease. I'd go two ohm because more amps can push them if you decide to sell.

Are you intending to go with subs or no. If so, don't focus much on the 6x9s. If not, then you'll have to do some research. You're on the right track because while I rarely use rear speakers, when I do, I never go with more than a 2 way speaker. Keep as few "ways" in back as possible.
