Newbie.......Good Combination????

I just bought 2 Kicker 15" L7....( over rated i know) but they are dual 4 ohm and wanted to know if a kicker ZX2500.1 would be a good amp or if anything is better than this combination please let me know just trying to get my first real system and should they go in a ported or sealed box??

My friend had 1 15" L7 on a Kicker 1000.1 and that thing was pretty loud, I'd imagine with that setup you would be stupid loud. Careful in the school zones now.

If those subs are dual 4 ohms, though, then you'd need an amp which will deliver your power at 1 ohm. As far as I know, the ZX2500.1 is only stable to 2 ohms.

shoulda gotten dual 2's so you could wire the amp to 2 ohms.

x2.im using 4 -15"L7s on 2 zx2500.1 and its perfect as hell,but your speaker ohms dont match that amp. go and swap them for dual 2ohms

I suggest getting a 1500 @ 1 ohm amp. They won't like 1000 each, or any more.
