First of all... YES, I am reading up on this shtuff. I have bcae1.com bookmarked along with the thread with the beginner info on it bookmarked and I am in the process of studying it all.

However, I'm just wondering what you guys would get in my case. I have a Clarion VRX 935VD H/U and now I just need the rest. BTW, I have a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon so keep in mind that it is a hatchback where my trunk area is open to the rest of the cabin.

I'm looking for replacements for the stock 6X9s(rear), 6 3/4(front) and also amps/subs. I'm looking at like $1,000 to $1,500 as my price range and could go a little higher if the quality of the products justifies it.

Again, considering my trunk area is open to the cabin I don't need an obscenely loud system. I'll just point it all towards the back of my head //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif . I want something loud and clear with a bit more emphasis on clear.

Since Hatchbacks are pretty small, I'd say...

Start with one set of DLS 6.5 comps in the front and a JBL amp to match.

Remove the rear fill altogether.

Take two IA LIs and *another* JBL amp, rated at 1200 x1 at 1 ohm. Seal or port the subs, makes no difference to me. SQ would be in a sealed box.

Toss in about 75 square feet of SecondSkin sound deadener.

Mix well with 2 guage power wire and the big 3.

Go BOOM!!! Like so.

Should be well within your budget, unless you plan on paying retail.
