Newb needing help with tunning

hey im building a box for a rockford fosgate p2 sub and i wanted to vent it i was wondering what should i tune the box to. I listen to rap and rocknroll also what difference does it make if i build a box tuned correctly or not? i appriciate the help.

i would go 32-34

Sound Quality : 20 to 28 Hz.

Sound Quality Loudness : 30 to 35 Hz

SPL : 40 to 80 Hz

those subs also work well in a bandpass enclosure, i put 2 12" P2's in a nice bandpass box and it thumps, bandpass is good for pretty much rap. but then again a ported box for one sub would prolly be best.

i havent heard bandpass but im sure thatll be fine i would go with port slot if u want an easier build

i did a bandpass with plexi top and front looks sweet sounds decent but she's right go slot port

well i think im going to try making a fiberglass slot ported box to put in my 1968 400hp camaro. thanks for all the help.
