NEWB install question

Sorry for such an elementary topic but I can't figur out how to get the speaker grill of the front speakers of my 1988 jetta. They located in the front corners where the dash meets the windshield. They're plastic and I feel like they can snap out but I'm not sure and I'd rather not break them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like what my buick doors were, but they felt/looked like run of the mill grills made to match carpet but they happened to of been glued inplace just to **** with me. be careful

The grills are on the doors or on the dash? If they're on the doors no harm in popping off the door panel to verify.
