newb fuse question

Hello all,

My amp uses a 40a fuse, but the inline fuse I got with my amp kit is 80a, and I was wondering if using a larger fuse on the power wire would create any sort of problem. The amp's manual says "use the same size fuse or one somewhat larger".

The fuse with the amp kit is designed to protect the wire from melting in the event of a short to ground...

I assume it's a 4awg kit?

Yep, 4awg, so 80a in the holder isnt a problem?
