nice, nice how i wish i had a job, but no body wants to hire a 16 year old, they think we all punks even when i try to tell them i have a 4.15 gpa and im very mature. They must think i cheat my way to good grades.

O well, maybe next year when im 17.

I had my first job when I was 15 working in the Kitchen at a restaurant. Sucked, but it payed $8.50/hour. Next job was a machine shop job that I loved. I played soccer across the street from them and every friday, we'd stop playing to watch them roll out their drag car and do a few test runs down the road to make sure everything's running smooth before they headed out to the track. At the time, I had no mechanic's experience or machine experience but I wanted to be around that car. So I applied for a job as a formality and went back every day for 3 weeks asking the manager if they had an opening until one day I caught the owner. He called me over and looked at my app and I immediatly noticed one thing. On the top of my app, they wrote "Clean cut and determined." Owner said "well, your here often enough so we might as well give ya a job..." Started the next day and worked there for 2 years until I went to school. Just have to find a job you really want and show the people that you want it more than anyone else...

well i actually have a temp. job this x mas break as a stock boy for an antique store, owners are family friends, and when i say they are slammed, they get slammed during x mas break. So many old folks buying useless crap, but o well. the store is hugeeeee. so i have a job but only for like 20 days. but it pays 7 and hour. o well, i think i might be working in a auto body repair shop this summer with my dad's personal trainer. he does the 80K paintjobs you see on car shows and stuff, but he can always use a buffer and sander he said. s ooo ill prob work therethis summer. They painting a ford racing gt (275,000) not the stock ford gt (155,000). This thing is a beast. It being painted the sickest color ive seen in my life, dark maroon red with a metallic flake silver racing stripes and side stripes.

Mike-

wow....this thread died. I just realized something too...I bet theres even some non-members who have read this thread and are going to show up anyways...in that way, its going to bigger than we can predict? I should probably call the park and tell them to tell their employees to bring ear plugs, lol.
