My mom is going to take over the payments on my Avant beginning next month, so I am free to go out and buy whatever i want.

Here is the list of cars that interest me- many of which i've driven, tell me which you like/don't like etc.. I'm looking for something with some road presence, that is ok to commute in from red wing to rochester for a few months (has to have some degree of reliability, sort of) and that will allow me to fit golf clubs and some sort of an insane stereo built around either the solo X 12" i have or the digital designs 9917 i need to get reconed.

later model m3

840- 850 reliable enough to be a good idea?

m coupe

jaguar xkr or possibly xk8

land rover discovery II

range rover

acura cl type s + serious mods

mercedes e55

mercedes ml55

s6

want to spend 25k or less if possible

if i can't decide/find one of those vehicles (feel free to suggest others i may like too) that i want i may also try to pick up some sort of a "beater" type vehicle which i could then sell in the late spring or early summer. I have quite a bit of work left to finish on my show truck- so although i am now ready to make this purchase, it would't kill me to save my money for a bit and finish that up before buying something.

what do you think?

but i could get an m3 from the same years if i'm ok with having 90k miles on it... and i am

in fact, i drive a lot and that might be best for me

what i would love is a 333ciix... heh

The only car I saw on that list that I'd go with is the M3. Any year M3 is a pretty good car, has good looks, great performance, and maintenance isn't every day unlike some of the others you listed.

i bought a 1999 c43- coudlnt' resist the exclusivity and it drives as well as anything (just wish it coudl have had a manual over here)

My 1964 fender vibroverb. It’s a tube amp for guitar. It has broken many times. But it is a serviceable amp. I can fix it.
