First off I'm NOT going to spend the extra and get a short shift kit. I just don't have the money, or care that much. Plus they don't make any "real" short shifters for my year Accord anyways.

Looking for something cheap, and will work reliably. Not too concerned about super short shifts. Just looking to try something new (and cheap).

Here's what I found on eBay:

Any opinions on those? Or links to anything else (cheaper, or at least as cheap)?

Am I safe to assume these instructions will work:

I saw a tutorial once about this..the guy just sawed off the shifter as low as he wanted it, twisted some threads back on to it, and put the knob and boot back on.... I think I still have the steps and pics saved in my home p/c...I will try an remember to post them later.

nice, but not really what i'm looking for.

i want to make the 'throw' of the shifter shorter.

that would make the throw a tiny bit shorter, but mostly would just make the shift knob harder to reach.

still interested in the link, though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The only experiences I've had with eBay "JDM" equipment is bad. A friend of mine bought a short throw for his 350Z because it was cheap on eBay, and it literally fell apart. I've never condoned nor supported buying cheap equipment but since you're so dead set on it, I'd vote for the last link for the "Revo Technica" version because it includes the sleeve that is slid over the threads of the bolt

Based on the age of your system, it may be a good idea to look for a new aftermarket unit.
