Hey everybody,

I was looking for some options on a new car. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions/things to stay away from from personal experience...etc.

I have about 9k to work with and want

2door

manual *****

NO VOLKSWAGONS!

What would my best bang for the buck, ect....

I was looking at something like the new pontiac gto's but they seem to be just out of my price range...

I'm confused, brand new or used?

Only brand new cars you're getting in that range are like Base Model Cobalts or something like that

Chevy down here is selling 2wd Ext Cab V6 Silverado 1500's for 12k brand new

I'd stay away from "performance" model cars with higher mileage on them. The owner before you probably beat on them. As far as a car choice, how old of a car are you looking to purchase? Are you looking to have fun? Or to have a reliable car for years to come?

I am looking for something that has the possibilities to turn heads. I am deff looking to have fun and fuel mileage isnt too much of a concern. Anything will be better than my f250SD pickup's 11mpgs. Reliability is probably the biggest concern, followed by looks and head turning, followed by performance, and lastly fuel mileage. I want to try to get something nobody in my small town has, meaning there are 3 new civic si's in the town already.

In that price range, you might be able to find a '98 or '99 camaro or ***** am with the LS1 engine and a ton of miles, but most have been beat to shit.

PS: The newer GTO's go for 18k-25k depending on year and mileage.
