new to usb car audio

I just installed an inexpensive Pioneer with a USB port in my old car. I was excited to try it, only to find that there is no information displayed for the music I have on the flash drive. I get "folder 90 - 002", something along those lines. Kind of defeats the purpose for me.

There must be a way to copy music so the car deck can display artist name, track name etc. from a USB stick. I tried google, and I can see others wanting to do the same thing, but I did not find any answers.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

When i did this on my old one, i just had to simply name the folder i wanted it to be and then that showed up and then the song title's showed up no problem.. mind you this was on the cheapest radio possible lol.

The deck is a Pioneer DEH 2200UB

Thanks for the hints, with a little more poking around I was able to see how to read the folders where the music was. The interface on this deck is not the most intuitive, but I new that when I bought it.

One more weird thing, I can navigate to the songs, and it will display the song titles, but when I select one, and play it, the song title does not display! I guess that's what I get for buying a cheap deck.

The ipod interface is not any better either.

Anyway, I am happy to be able to use the USB stick, the help is much appreciated.
