Because running it at 2ohm just wasnt goin well with my PG 600.2. fukkit, I traded it in for a 2ohm DVC 12" model now its wired @ 4ohms. Working perfectly.

Question though.. the guy had the sub in a custom ported box. It looks kinda small tbh and it has a round port (kinda small too) but it sounds nice, atleast nicer than my 10" in the prefab box.

I have a 12" sealed box too btw, but im not sure if the size is right for the type r.

How do I find out what the tuning freq. is for the custom box? My old box had a square slot port, is the round one better?

edit: and im feeding it 600rms.. should i go higher?

The round port is aero port. People typically use an aero port when they don't want to take up the space of a slot port. Nothing is wrong with an aero port, the roll off just tends to be a little quicker than that of a slot port. The aero port would also explain why the enclosure doesn't look very big to you.
