New to the forum, I have some general questions.

I have had 2 MTX (200 RMS) 12's in my car for quite sometime. I blew my amp and was forced to get a new one. I had bought some RF 10's (150 RMS) from a friend, so I decided that I was going to put those in my car as well. I have 750 Watt and 450 watt amps on the way. Should I get 4 gauge wire? My alternator is 110 amp (I drive a Maxima), should it also be fine or should I get a capacitor? I am getting a new battery tomorrow (mine is old and needs to be replaced anyway). So is there anything else I should worry about (overheating in the trunk, changing ground wire to 4 gauge, etc........)? Thanks alot.

750 and 450... peak or rms? either way you should prolly run 4gauge atleast.

Judging by that...

I'd say 4gauge back to a distro block, then 8gauge to each amp.

Hmmm, dont think I have one. Dont think I had one with my 12s? The battery wire went straight to my amp. Im gonna get an RCA splitter so I can send the wire to both amps. Is that not right?

If I am understanding you correctly, you want to run both 12's and both 10's in your car at the same time?? Bad idea....it's not good to mix and match sub brands and/or sub sizes. They'll have different output levels and different frequency responses, which will result in very poor sound.

do not put all 4 unless you absolutly know what you are doing.

use that other amp to hook up to your speakers. i guarantee they wont put out anywhere NEAR 750 and 450.

try 450(bridged)and 150(bridged).

they lie about the power output to trick people into buying their overrated amps. sorry.

the bigger amp to the 12's, and the smaller amp to your front speakers. thats the way that i would hook it all up, it would prolly sound much better.

and do yourself a favor and build a ported box.

Hmmmm, my front speakers are stock and they are pretty bad.....

then sell the pair of 10's and buy new front speakers.
