yea thats it >=/ ....So im guessing I should just get a new one huh?? can you explain the difference between RMS and peak cause peak seems like its a useless number only used to makes amps look better than they are

You just explained it yourself. Rms can be misleading also. A good guess on what it will really do round about look at the fuse rating. 10 amps per 100 watts. That's rough but it will work.

I am kind of in the same boat as you but my advice is do a lot of researching on individual specifications on speakers so that way you can understand everything piece by piece. I've been recommended to Hifonics subs if you're on a budget by a few people on these forums so might want to give those a look

My suggestion: save up another $100-$200 and get something that won't fry in a month and you'll be happy with for a longer period of time
