New to me 92 Bronco, that came with some car audio goodies. Now I have questions?

So what do the rest of you think about the rest of my stuff, okay, garbage or what. I realize the HU is an older one, but dam it's got a lot of shit on it.

That Eclipse isn't providing enough power, man. It's only 60 watts per channel. Those Kickers need 100 watts rms per side OR MORE in order to do their thing.
Sealing & deadening the doors will make a difference too.

Think about bridging the Eclipse for the components and picking up a small monoblock for the sub.
Couple more questions for ya.

When you say seal and install deadening material, I assume you are talking about putting the material behind the door skin like against the inside of the door right?

Now bridging the amp, I also assume that you are familiar the amp. It has 2 sets of preouts, front and rear, now if I were to bridge the amp I would lose the ability to control and adjust the front components together right. Also the head unit has 3 sets of preouts, front, rear, and sub so I would not be able to adjust all the components together.

Hope that all make since, still trying to get all my lingo down again.

Thanks

- Yeah, you'll want to apply deadener inside the doors AND on the outside (under door plastics). Seal up any and all holes that may be present while you're at it.

- Bridging an amplifier allows you to use the unit's full power in 2 channels as opposed to all four. In this case, I'd expect around 110 - 120 watts rms x2 @ 4 ohms. Just look in the owner's manual to see exactly how to run it bridged. In some cases it's as simple as connecting the + on channel 1 & - on channel 2 for the driver's side, and then + = channel 3/- = channel four for the passenger's side.

- When bridging an amplifier, you won't lose the ability to do anything as far as the components in the front of the vehicle are concerned. Just think of it as turning a 4 channel amp into a 2 channel amp.

- Your rear speakers, if you have any, will no longer be powered by the amplifier. This is fine. Rear speakers don't need a lot of power. Just connect them to the cd player.

No offense, but not sure if you understand what I am asking, and I just want to make sure you fully understand.

I know it's a shitty pic, but it was getting dark out.

Now if you look at the pic it has adjustments for ch 1 and ch 2. Right now I have the left side of my components bridged, if I want to bridge the right side I will have to use a second set of RCA's to the HU. Now if you look at the pic you will see that the adjustments are separate for channel 1 and channel 2. Also on the HU the adjustments are separate for the front and rear RCA outputs.

Hopefully I made sense.

Just a quick question... Can you measure the area behind the back seat of your Bronco for me? The height from floor to roof, the depth from top of backseat to tailgate, and the width between wheels and just above them? Looking to wall my Bronco for some 22" fi's when I get it out of storage, but its 180 miles away right now... I need ideas on what kind of cubic space I got to work with, without losing my back seat...

Thanks man!
