new to car audio, which is better?

wow man you have all the symptoms of a noob and i dont mean that as a bad thing

dont bother with a cap, save the money

2 amps? looks like you said 4 speakers?

you can just use 4awg to split it as well

I use to have that exact same amp long, long ago. Bought it off of eBay and then sold it a week later for $10 more than I paid for it.

Nice unit for moderate power. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

if i have this plus the profile running on a stock alternator will a cap be necessary? i'd rather be safe than sorry
"Stiffening" capacitors are an oft-debated topic on this forum as well as most others.

To tell you the truth you'll spend less money and achieve much better results upgrading your "Big 3" underhood wiring.

If this is a process you're unfamiliar with then take a little while to read through and absorb the information found in this thread.

You'll be out less than $30 in materials and again - for purposes of supplying adequate current to aftermarket gear you'll gain much better results and spend less cash doing it. All in all it's a win-win situation. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
