New to car audio, getting my first system put in..

and i have a few questions i figured the people on this forum could help me out with. I have a 07 toyota FJ cruiser, just got it (used, killer deal by the way, $22,000 done deal 17,000 miles on it) and the factory system just isnt cutting it. I listen to a tons of different kinds of music, fron jimi hendrix to some hardcore rap and everything in between. I want a good all around system that will get some hard hitting bass with a woofer, but also sound good with things like acoustic songs and such. I was looking into come component systems and then adding a subwoofer and an amp or two, but im not sure where to start. Should i go with a component system? and im wondering what exactly is that and such...im a super noob to this stuff... and i dont wanna drop $1400+ and make a big mistake.

For subs i was looking at the 7500 series MTX Sledgehammers cause one of my firends has one and it sounds really nice...but im not sure if i could get something better for the same price

talking about woofers? i want a dual 10inch setup for the back of the truck (i would rather get a loaded enclousure so i dont have to deal with it), and whats the difference between 2 and 4 ohms? which should i look for?

ohms are the impendances a subwoofer can run at. bcae - ohms law. read. you need to know what ohm your subwoofers coils are, so you can properly amplify them

thanks...but wouldnt a 15inch sub be less accurate that a set of two tens? i was looking into something like this as far as the two tens go, as opposed to the sledgehammer

no, the quality of the bass has nothing to do with sub size. proper box, placement and overall install is what matters.

and Fi is a huge, excellent, killer bang for the buck internet company. iirc, the owner is the former top engineer of RE (http://www.reaudio.com) which was bought by US AMPS.

ok thanks, i will look into it...what type of box should i look for? there is a shop around here that does do custom car audio and maybe they could build the box

Also: what exactly is the downside to a loaded enclosure? is it just...not loud? not accurate? doesnt sound good? and should i match everything in the entire system with the same impendence rate to acheive the best sound? by that i mean woofer, both amps and speakers.
