New Ti vs old ti

My buddy just bought the old Eclipse 88120Ti. he thought it was the same as mine. What is the difference? He might have messed up cuz he wants to add another later and it would be hard to find another sub that is new. Oh and btw I am still waiting on my amp to come in to power my ti's. The SW9122 added the QCA feature, that is all. Otherwise the exact same woofer.
