*New Test: Sundown SAZ-1500D*

I appreciate the differences when compared to other amps but I don't care for you throwing around numbers that are not accurate.

And what I'm saying is that the "power" ratings you are getting are not true. You are measuring Volt Amps and not watts. There IS a difference and that difference is pretty large due to the reactive load you're using.

And no, I wouldn't be surprised about impedance rise because I do understand it and I do know that it takes place.
Then tell me how to accurately determine actual wattage then.

The way we did it is the way that i've ALWAYS seen done, by anyone. It's the same way loyd tests amps, its the same way scottie j tests, its the same way EVERYONE tests. Except for you apparently.

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish with your posts. Seems like you are just being difficult for the sake of being difficult.

The ratings I produced are REAL world results that nearly anyone with a decent electrical system can acheive. If you somehow see a giant flaw in the way things are done, then do them yourself.

I thought I was doing a service to the caraudio.com community (at least as far as I can tell from all the people thanking me for posting the tests), but apparently you don't see any benefits from it. Maybe I should just stop testing amps all together until I learn the "proper" way from you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

For the sake of this thread and its relevance to the topic, don't bother posting any more of your shit in my thread.

Loyd has a Eagle Pitcher 12500 I believe. Its about 4' wide.
That really didn't make THAT much of a difference in his test vs. mine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

He actually had MORE voltage drop than I did.

Alright, i know NOTHING about these amps

But why are they so HYPED up

1000 watts at 1 ohm? I dont know, that just doesnt seem like very much, unless they are insanly cheap to buy?

If you would read through all the results, the amp did 1090 watts rising up to 2.7 ohms, not 1 ohm

Give this amp an ACTUAL 1 ohm load (say, wired down to .5 ohm with an impedence rise up to 1 ohm), you will get AT LEAST 1500 watts out of it, which is exactly what it's rated for.

And even if it WAS a 1000 watt amp, the RETAIL price is only $600

Yeah, I saw the rise part

Ive just seen this amp posted about heavily, and wondered what all the hype i was seeing about

Whats actually cost per amp? Strappable?

1500 x 1 watts @ 1 ohm

800 x 1 watts @ 2 ohms

400 x 1 watts @ 4 ohms

Here are the ratings by the way.
