It's the rise in resistance, caused by inductance, that you get from the "circuit" that is created when you put your sub in an enclosure.n00b question:
whats 'impedence rise'?
You don't.ok....and how do you 'lower' it?
Then tell me how to accurately determine actual wattage then.I appreciate the differences when compared to other amps but I don't care for you throwing around numbers that are not accurate.
And what I'm saying is that the "power" ratings you are getting are not true. You are measuring Volt Amps and not watts. There IS a difference and that difference is pretty large due to the reactive load you're using.
And no, I wouldn't be surprised about impedance rise because I do understand it and I do know that it takes place.
oh lolYou don't.
You build a new box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
There are other factors to imp rise however.
That really didn't make THAT much of a difference in his test vs. mine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifLoyd has a Eagle Pitcher 12500 I believe. Its about 4' wide.
If you would read through all the results, the amp did 1090 watts rising up to 2.7 ohms, not 1 ohmAlright, i know NOTHING about these amps
But why are they so HYPED up
1000 watts at 1 ohm? I dont know, that just doesnt seem like very much, unless they are insanly cheap to buy?
Thats going to be amazing. Hopefully you get that meter working.Well Ill be sure to add my result to here if I can get a clamp meter that works right. Ill have two strapped on a .7 load.
Yeah, I saw the rise partIf you would read through all the results, the amp did 1090 watts rising up to 2.7 ohms, not 1 ohm
Give this amp an ACTUAL 1 ohm load (say, wired down to .5 ohm with an impedence rise up to 1 ohm), you will get AT LEAST 1500 watts out of it, which is exactly what it's rated for.
And even if it WAS a 1000 watt amp, the RETAIL price is only $600
As far as I know, they are $600 direct from the company or any of their dealers.Yeah, I saw the rise part
Ive just seen this amp posted about heavily, and wondered what all the hype i was seeing about
Whats actually cost per amp? Strappable?
