New test..IA 20.1 vs. Kicker ZX2500.1 vs. Orion 2500D

Ok, i got the deal with the rise, but still 8.9 ohms, I still dont believe it did 1500 watts at 8.9 ohms. Im not saying it didnt so 1500 watts. Im just saying it didnt do it at 8.9 ohms.
Either way, I am not gonna sit here all night and read this crap. You guys have fun with the 1 negative IA post ever. Peace Out.
Dont think its negative, just that what alot of people have said for awhile.......that a 20.1 needs to go really low to get the power and 2.2 ohms isnt really low now is it??? Thus why Kicker won.

Kicker was made for higher ohms thus why it makes its power there and made more power and won ...........PERIOD.

The rest of you that are hatin on the so called "ia boner," your all pathetic. I know that the 20.1 is not the strongest amp ever made, but time and time again it has proven itself to be a great amp. One, yes ONE, test comes along and everybody thats jealous of IA comes out of the woodworks and puts the amps down. The only reason there is an IA boner is because the amp works. Numerous "real" competitors have proven that.
PS. How many amps can you name that do rated power with crap batteries? Huh? RF T3000-not even close, Memphis 4kw - not a chance. The list goes on and on, so get over it.
i had a pair of memphis 4kws would get close to 7000 watts rms strapped at 1.4 ohms off one battery that would drop to 9.0 volts..

I still back the IA, I haven't seen any other amp function down as low as my 20.1 will, or half as low.
So you'll back the IA even though other amps will do more power at a higher ohm load (with higher efficiency) and **** less current doing it?

Sounds logical. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

YOU do a burp at less than .5, say .35, .175 or .08 ohms with either of the other two, THAT'S why I back the IA. The amp can be more efficient, but if it won't fire up, IT DOESN'T MATTER.

An "1800" watt amp that needs more batteries and more voltage to do its "rated" power. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Did you read this...Apparently it did more then it was suppost to at a higher ohm load. I stated that the kicker would win, so you cant point the "boner" at me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif (Thought that was funny)

clamped the IA @ .5 ohms again. did about 1800 watts with a 2.2 ohm rise

why would i fire up a weaker amp?

Oh young one...You seem to enjoy poking and proading dont you?

The Kicker is a strong amp. The Orion is a strong amp. The 20.1 is a strong amp. In your install in its current state...yes, it wouldnt make sence. I tell you what, you want to send me the kicker amp? I'll do another test, with actual results. You can verify them before I post them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

there is 6 people here that comply with the results.

But here's the thing....WHY DOES IT MATTER WHAT OHM LOAD?!?!

Does it make you happy that you can wire a 20.1 to .00001 ohm and have it play, even though it does LESS power than another amp at a higher ohm load?

Your logic makes no sense. I don't understand the fascination with wiring an amp to a ridiculous ohm load. I could understand it if the 20.1 did tons of power, BUT IT DOESN'T. At least not in this setup.

And lest you forget, we wired the kicker down to .25 ohms and had it play.

Yes, even though it does less power for you...It should do more for us. Finally, we play in USACi...4ohm is everything.

Agreed...

Its does make tons of power for us and everyone else that uses it...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

@ 2.2 though...rise is a Biatch isnt it?
