new system

I have a 99 Grand Cherokee and was thinking about putting a system in. I listen to pretty much all types of music depending on mood. In the past I have done all sealed system but was thinking of doing a ported system now just for more sp.

Any suggestions on subs and amp combo's? In the past I had a 4 JL 10W0D2's running off of two Old School PPI surf board's that sounded great!!! That was a sealed box with about a 1.5 cubed per sub. I also had a Kicker 12L7 running off of a MTX 6500D in a ported tuned too about 37hz. Two RF HE2's running off of a Alpine MRV 1507 in a sealed box.

Currently I just have a Pioneer DEH-P8600 running factory Infinty Speaker's in the Jeep. I was thinking about a couple 12" RE's or a single 15" RE. How are they as far as sq? Give me some idea's guys. My budget is around $800-$1000 for subs and amp. Anyone suggest some decent fronts and rear's? I was thinking either PG or I did see some Cadence that had pretty good specs. I would be running the fronts and rears off a four channel 75watts rms alpine amp. Thanks for all of your help in advance. Also would not rule out used equipment.

The Sundown 3k would pretty much eat up his budget. And that's if you can find one.

I use the same 15 and the same amp. It's a great combo.

I would sugest you stick with a sealed enclosure. Reason being you can get the new Mag v4 12" that are designed for sealed enclosures and they sound awsome for all genres of music. Very loud, with a superbly clean and acurate sound. They have a 4.75" mounting depth and use a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure per sub so you can save yourself some room too. Amp I would go with the a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D simply cus its a good match up for the Mag v4, reliable and im pretty sure you can get away with the lot 2 sub and 2 amps for under 1100, or you could always just get the subs for under $500 and find a pair of used amps on here. was thinking about the kicker 2500.1 I have seen alot of these amps for about $400 or so used....and some guys have run them down to .5 ohms with proper electrical..
