New System

Hey im new to this forum but i was wondering if i could get some help on installing my new subs and speakers...I own a 1999 Bravada basically like a Blazer...What i want to do is install two new subs and mount 2 more speakers in the front on my center console. I currently have Dual 12" Sony Xplod subs. I also have a 1200 W sony amp. So i guess my ? is wht new equipment will i need to install in order to run all of this so i get loud clean bass and sound.

ya id go with a new amp those sonys are not so hot. a good set up id go with if i was doing it over agian. would be a pair of the AQ sdc2.5 15s and a 2200 AQ or a hifonics 2008D which will be about 100 cheaper then the AQ but should still get your good power for the money. but ya you should research some more before you decide to buy anything.

hifonics for 284

and

AQ 15s Sdc2.5s 369

1/0 guage wiring kit 62

so that's around 705 and get a ported box built to specs with 1k each the SDC2.5s would be nice. as for your electrical. i have the hifonics 2008D running off my stock alt with a red top battery and am doing fine. do you know how big your stock alternator is?

I wouldn't do that if you want any sort of SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif...invest money in an amp and a good set of door componet speakers for your front stage....

nah man id have to go look at it...would u say just skip the 2 new speakers in front i was just doin those to get more sound and itd look pimp but that would save me $100 or $200 on speakers...the only thing thats stock in my car is the 2 speakers on top of the dash but when i get my subs poundin my lights start to dim everywhere...It gives it a nice pulse but kinda looks ratty to

well if your lights dim with that sony amp, im afraid it would be worse with basically any other amp, because that sony is probably 1200 watt max and them amps were talking about are 2000 RMS, but do the big 3 and see if that helps you out search for big 3 should come up with allot.

My guess is he's good with the Sony equipment. So I would suggest looking at the wiring section on how to do the big 3. It's a pretty easy process that will assist with your voltage. Use 1/0 wire. I would suggest the 1/0 wire from Knukonceptz.com You would maybe need about 30ish feet. If you have an ebay account, they sell some on there too. Not sure if you have speaker wire, but they sell that too. Get maybe some 14 gauge wire for those subs.

Are you using the Stock head unit? If so you need a line output converter I believe, some RCA cables and I believe that's it. I wouldn't get a second battery unless you know the one up front is old and on it's way out.

The equipment you have is not what everyone would suggest using, but since you have it, this will be what you need.
