Project: F350 begins...
Alright, most likely have a buyer for my ATV this weekend, so i can finally get going on the system:

2 - Dual4 Alpine Type-R 15's

1 - Hifonics XX-Hercules to push the subs

Front - MBQuart RCE268 components

Rear - MBQuart DKE168 coax's

Powered by Alpine MRP-F450 Amp (70wrms @ 4ohms)

Pioneer DEH-P780MP

I will be buildling a sub box to form to the back of my SUV, but i know very little on wiring so i will probably take it somewhere to have everything wired up (good or bad idea??) There is a small local shop called Mobile Radio. they are pretty hardcore when it comes to custom installs and i have been reccomened them many times.

My only worry is the MBQuart comps are rated 60wrms and the amplifier pushes 70wrms. Should i worry too much about that?

Porting the box?

Don't worry about the MB quartz's takin 70w, they'll be fine.

You could save some money and not get the rear speakers, you prolly wont be able to hear them anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeah they will be ported. the plan is to make two separate ported enclosures, one for each sub, but instead of making the front of the enclosure, i will be putting a large piece of MDF across both to make one giant face, which will form to my wheel wells and the sides of the SUV.

my dream system is 2 15'' type r's and a hercules and i do have a atv that i am selling but i dont really have a car to put my system in. i should have about 3k to work with. so i am going to see if i can roll some of that money into a new car.
