I am getting ready to purchase my new subwoofer and amplifier setup after not having anything for the last few years because it all got stolen.
My last system consisted of a Alpine head unit, 2 15" Kove Armageddon M series subwoofers, rated @ 500 watts RMS each, and I had them in a sealed box in the trunk of my 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. My amp was a Crossfire BMF1000D.
I still have the same car, and I now have an Alpine CDA-9855. I have pretty much decided on a singe 12" RE SX D2, and building a 2 cu ft slot ported box tuned to 32hz. For the amp I am looking at a US AMPS Md1D or soming of similar quality that puts out 1000-1200 watts RMS @ 1 ohm.
My question is what are the differences in SQ, SPL, etc. that you think I will have with the new sysem vs. the old?
