Ok, so here it is, I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX Sedan. Everything at this point in time is stock. I have access to Quality Wires/cables, so that is honestly the least of my concern. My biggest need is help with the actual equipment. I'm looking for a good balance of quality/value. I'm hoping to get by with just one sub, as the main goal of the system is something good for me to listen to and maybe a few others to hear. :p Thanx for all your help, I appreciate it greatly.

Box-Well this is a tricky one, it will have to be built I'm sure, so I will be looking for someone in the Houston Area that can build a good box at a decent price. Feel free to let me know if you know anyone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Have you tired a search yet??? Alot of people have asked about what equipment is best for what type of music/budget. Each hu, speaker, amp, and sub has its pros and cons, but info can be found by just doing a simple search. I think after you have come up with some options, people would find it easier to answer your questions. I would also suggest that you try to listen to all the equipment to get an idea of what you want. I am also fairly new hear, but learned alot from just reading and doing research about things that I liked.

yeah you can save with those aura amps. I actually don't know the RMS on the Rainbows.
I would have went with them if I didnt get a good deal on some NEXT amps. Don said 70W RMS would be good, but more power will make them sing. I will be sending mine 240W RMS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif conservatively tho

Thanx with you guy's opinion's help so far. Concerning my build. I've noticed everyone has skipped saying a rear speaker set. Is the new thing not getting rears? I used to work at circuit city and read an article once concerning "surround sound", basically it brought up the scientific facts concerning audible clarity at high volumes and being able to distinguish direction. it favored the conclusion that if do this, you can't really tell the direction from which the sound comes unless there is something that divides the sound up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif either way though, so just work on a good compenent front set? 1 sub in the back, and an amp that runs the front as highs and the sub as a low(built in filter/xover?)? umm, also, concerning the headunit, you guys say 6800(seen many good things about it), any reason to get it instead of the 680? they are about the same price thru my friend(dealer). umm, that is all i guess i have for now. thank you guys again

Just running front components w/o rears will allow you to create a good soundstage and imaging where the sound is in front of you like at a concert. I think that the idea of 5.1 surround sound should only be applied when you are going to be running a visual display like a movie. A common setup would be a component set up front, 1 or 2 subs in the rear, and amps to match depending which setup you decide for power requirements. The 680 would be better than the 6800, since it is the higher PREMIER line but suggested the 6800 since it was cheaper. Hope that kind of helps.
