its because they are new....

turn the gain down, dont want to clip it too hard...

Yer clipping the amp to heck...

Unless the sub is garbage, your clipping the absolute heck outta your amp.

200 watts isnt much, 200 watts rms clean sine wave will be about 400 to 500watts of pure clipped square wave which will fry coils in short order.

If you wanna go louder, get more power

YEAH I GOT 2 AMPS 2 15S AND I SHOULDA GOT 2 OHM SUBS INSTEAD OF 4 FOR MY AMP TO PUT OUT ALL ITS POWER

Ya... 200 watts for a sub in a car isnt much. Your gonna be clipping that amp constantly.

Music has a peak to average ratio of about 10:1. This means if you got a 200 watt amp and wanna be COMPLETELY clip free you will run about 20 watts average power because the peaks will be about 200 watts.

For ANY car installation no matter what, I recommend 500 watts as the absolute bare minimum power and I guarentee they will still be clipping the amp to heck
