I just ran 1/0 from my alternator + to battery + and ran my amp ground (1/0) directly to the frame when i ran out of wire. How important is it to do the chassis and battery to frame ground? Stock appears to be 4 gauge, MAYBE 6 but isnt wimpy.

Well its a complete system so now that youve upgrade 1/3 you have 2 weak links (chassis to ground and engine to ground)

If you notice lights dimming you should consider doing the other 2

new wire.. dont even think about useing a butt connector to extend the wire..

depending on car, and what size wire.

i charge 30-50 plus part's...

just do it yourself. its not that hard

Just find a good grounded bolt on your chassis somewhere, run a wire from that to your negative battery terminal (probably should get a new terminal as well). Then find a bolt on your engine that doesn't have any resistance between your alt casing and it. Then find another bolt on your chassis to use as a ground, and run a wire between the engine bolt and that ground. Its really not difficult at all, and definitely not worth paying 50 bucks to have it done.
