Is it just me or is everyone and their mommy starting a new one every week.

I can understand someone that has been doing this for years but its like every 15-20 year old is popping out shit now days.. Noobies wanting to start doing this without ever being in car audio..

This is just getting completely out of hand..

IMO yes, there are too many companies coming out right now. It just makes the Car Audio people look foolish.

Really how many build houses are out there? I can think of 2 in the USA and I suspect there's 2 or 3 in Asia. Sort of like how everyone puts their name brand on the same 2 or 3 Chinese/Korean amps.

I think the competition is good. After the dust settles the person with the best customer service will likely be left standing and in the meantime, competition keeps prices low for consumers.

I wasn't talking about him or Tantric... its all of these other ones that keep popping up over the last year I have seen at least 6 new companies that popped up with wanting to do subs and so forth... yes its good for keeping pricing down but then you have all of these kids out there doing this and not knowing jack crap about anything to just push something out to try to make money.. I feel that some of these are worse for us than actually doing good. Like I said in my original post the 15-20 year old kids that has never been into car audio or just getting into car audio...

I could understand if they was pushing the development of these in a new direction or improvement but 90% of them are just copying with minor changes to things.

Would like to see some real changes pushing for bigger improvements and so forth.. if that came out correctly or what not.

The reason is many are using college loans to purchase subs at bulk. It has become common knowledge on how to contact the build houses so everyone is jumping on the wagon.

A few are doing custom tooling, but 99% are just snagging parts off the shelf.

Over the past 10 years how much has really changed in the design of subs? I know neo motors and so forth but has there really been any real improvements on motors that has really pushed development or total changes of motor designs? I'm not all into designs and such of subs/motors... but it just seems that from 01-04 was some of the best designs of motors.. RE.. Adire.. etc... then a few newer ones over the past few years but not much on changes or total overhauls or am I completely wrong here?

There have not been huge leaps recently other then various types of motors. The big thing is figuring out what works best together right now. Everyone wants cheap and then complains about them breaking when they put 1krms to a 600rms sub. Or they are running in the lanes in street beat style classes and a driver fails.

So right now there is less focus on massive improvements in anything other then finding the best compilation of parts. While there are always altering materials and such, it is still a balancing act and various companies put different things in their balance as more important then others.. Other wise every sub would be 100% the same...which they are obviously not.

sorry, i will never leave atomic bro... and I emailed you. is there any way to do subs on the passengers side port on the drivers kind of like what I showed you? if not thats fine...

I can work on that for you no problems. Might get some slight issues with loading but if that is what you want we can get it done.
