Well, now that I look at the specs for that amp, you could wire your sub to 4ohms and they'd receive ~1500w. The up sides to this is that your dampening factor and THD of your amp at 2ohms would double, in effect, it would sound better, however output would not be the same if you have an amp that did ~1500 at 1 ohm.my sub is D2
I won't tell you not to buy that amp, because I've owned and been happy with the ONX1500.1D(a BRX1600 in a different heatsink). I will however say that the B2 Audio Quota amp that I linked to is a better amp the the AQ and the BRX, and I don't know why you're refusing to acknowledge it as a viable option.Hifonics BRX1600.1D will give me 1600 @ 1ohm for around 250 $ .. is that better than the aq ?
I completely agree, I've owned the mb 1500 As well. Don't waste your money on a cheap amp, the amp he's posted the link to will do just fine.I won't tell you not to buy that amp, because I've owned and been happy with the ONX1500.1D(a BRX1600 in a different heatsink). Yes, with a good battery and the Big 3(which you're already planning on doing) you should be able to maintain voltage >14v, which clamp tests have proven to yield clean power up to 1800w from that amp.so my bl12 D2 on the quota wired to 1 ohm ?
HDC will handle that amp fine. Just make sure your gains are set right to avoid clipping! So my final choice is :
B2 quota amp (new one)
Hdc3 12 Dual 2ohm wired to 1 ohm
custom box
1/0 wire all around with big 3
you think im good ? hdc3 will take the 1400 rms you think ?
If you can build the box yourself just get a design from High Output Enclosures in the vendor section here. If you can't build it yourself, talk to DC Creations or SS Audio Solutions in the vendor section as well.Sure I will set the gain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif good for that ! I will order this soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif thanks
