How Much Power Can A 400 RMS/800 Peak Kicker L3 Handle?

I have a kicker l3. And soon i am going to sell it. I used to love kicker and i think it was for the square subwoofers and stuff it just was cool to me. Now iv grown up more. Iv learned more. I might move onto DC Audio or Subdown Audio subwoofers. But i am going to buy a Hifonics BRX2000.1D Which is 700 watts at 4 ohms. And my kicker l3 is wired to 4 ohms. Is 700 watts going to be to strong for it? Would i be blowing my subwoofer?

I would be careful, not because 700w is going to cook the coil, the likelyhood of the amp putting out 700w long enough to heat the coil up enough to blow is unlikely, but it's easy to clip a signal if you don't know how to set your gains, and that WILL kill your speaker.

I would read up on how to set gains with a DMM, and then shoot for the 600w mark.
