New Sub setup... Questions

Right now i have two JL Audio Subs that are descent. But I plan on getting two Alpine SWR-12D2 12s that are 1000W RMS each and pairing them with two JL audio JX1000/1D which are 1000W RMS each. I planned on doing two Caps and an Optima Yellow Top battery... Is this going to be enough or do i need additional equipment?

are you dead set on the equipment , or do you want better . no caps , do the big 3 instead . you might need another battery as well

Also my car's alternator is only 90 amps... What should i upgrade it to without it being overkill

At the very least 2 batteries, big 3, and a dead minimum of 240a alternator. Drop the caps, 95% of the time they are practically useless.

yea many options ,also you'll only need 1 extra battery. how many subs ? 2 i take it . i sell a system thats 2200 rms 2 12's with box all the wires needed , components,coaxils, with a clarion or pioneer deck for $1500 all new with warranty

this is more realistic, and this will be way way way way better than your JL audio setup

Yeah he's running 2 1k RMS amps, so roughly 139 amps. 240a is actually pretty close to ideal in his situation.

Clarion cz 702. And cdt com 626 cr American bass xfl 12s. A Starr mountain. Custom box sky high wires and a American bass vfl 4480

I understand that, 2000W/14.4V=138.89a, that's assuming a completely 100% efficient amp which is impossible. Again, why I said a dead minimum of 240a alt.
