New sub need box design help

1.75-2ft^3 with a 28-30hz tuning should work well. I don't know why RE recommends small boxes for these, their specs don't indicate that they would like such small boxes...assuming the provided specs are at least somewhat accurate.

Hmm I was thinkin that as well.

I'm having Dustin (DLdesignz) build me a box for a pair of the SRi. I was plannin on going 2 cubes @32hz but feel kinda unsure of the size. Think 2.5@ 30 would be better or would I be ok with my original plan? Space is a bit limited in my trunk.

i know, i looked at the recomendations and it said like 1.5 cbf ported. i was like wtf? isent that a bit small? il try with the 2, at 30, they recoment 35 hrtz, but i duno what will hit hard, is all i want is some nice hard hitting bass!

Tuning 10hz above the sub's fs is going to give you a good sized peak. It'll be loud, but you'll definitely be able to notice that you have a big peak that drops off pretty quick.

i had my friends 12" concept in my truck for about a week, i had it ran at 2 ohm on 550w rms, rated for 900, in a custom 1.96 cbf L port box, faceing up tuned to 33 hrtz i had atleast 1 inch of winsheild flex, and my friend hit a 136 and it was waay louder then his. soo we both thought i hit around a 140 +
