So let me get this straight you are going to come to me asking for help and then turn around and slap us in the mouth, multiple times, on multiple forums?...Were you not taught that it's best to not bite the hand that feeds you...?lol i cant believe people are still asking for 15s.
as per Q vs Mag even when it was double the price almost id pick the mag over the Q lol.
No problem man. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifEdit: Sorry to jump off topic here Nick and crew, but i had a small problem with this, and it needed to be said. Best of luck with the new sub! Can't wait to hear one!
like a phase plugI hear that bald eagles aren't on the endangered species list anymore. Anyone want a bald eagle layered cone? ...the beak will be the dust cap, of course.
Exactly. But the beak won't just help with off-axis frequency response, it will create hyperbol utilizing atom realignment to implode then explode air molecules. In other words, add deebeze.like a phase plug
So there dreaded XBL^2 rolloff is gone? I'd be glad to hear it extends into the upper bass region well...Neil, I have to disagree with you here. I really can't believe you typed that and/or believe that. The new driver blended a lot better than the current Mag. Power alone (or lack thereof) doesn't dictate the ability for a driver to blend. The little Audax 5.25's don't really spell midbass monsters, so it takes quite a bit to blend with the little speakers without a) leaving a big gap because the sub won't play high enough, b) getting into peaks and dips due to resonances.
Yep (if there was such a thing - I still don't understand where people got it from talking about the Brahma's because of their relatively short coil and low inductance...but I can see it drivers like the XXX's due to inductance). The new Mag plays well up to 800/900 Hz, so roll-off isn't really an issue. I ran around with the x-over at 150 Hz for 3-4 days with absolutely no problem. It's now down at 90 Hz, which is still higher than I usually have my subs.So there dreaded XBL^2 rolloff is gone? I'd be glad to hear it extends into the upper bass region well...

he does that, from what i have noticed. So let me get this straight you are going to come to me asking for help and then turn around and slap us in the mouth, multiple times, on multiple forums?...Were you not taught that it's best to not bite the hand that feeds you...?

i doubt it will work with any standard recone.I will be the idiot to ask, but will there be anyway to order just the motor? I really do not want a 12" sub. If I were able to order just the motor I would do my own re-cone. Basically looking for a way to offset the fact that there will be no 15's released. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
