New Speakers

I have an 89 GMC regulars cab. 4x6's are what fit and I just got four new ones. I hooked them up. They sound ok but are way loud on the hi end. The lows are there but are covered by the highs. I have a pioneer 4400 stereo reciever. Here are the specs on the speakers:

4*6 2-way / coaxial (97mm*155mm)

75 Watt RMS / 150 Watt Peak

88 db Sensitivity @ 1W/1M

Frequency Response 60 Hz - 20 KHz

Is this problem with the hi's because of the speakers or could it be the speaker quality? What's causing this? If it is something with the specs, what?

The Brand is Powerbase. I know, unheard of, but my friends has nothing but Powerbase in his car and his system kicks. However he has 6x9's and two 12" subwoofers, where as i have four 4x6's. Slight difference.

And no matter what I do the highs are always there...

Out of curiosity I went to "Wal-Mart" and baught pioneer (planning to take them back anyways), and the Powerbases didn't even compare.

What's the best kind of 4x6?
