Really, I had a feeling that he could have owned it, but the pics were obviously not his.

The reason I had a feeling he owned it is because he loves to own classic cars of the cheap/ugly variety. I guess it's so he can say that he owns porsches, mustangs, corvettes, and camaros without divulging into their actual year or condition.

Im usually the first one to stand up and say rex has proven he owns most/all the stuff he claims, even I was skeptical this time. Someone saying the ebay ad was still active, and rex seeming to have no knowledge of the ad selling the same car he said he just bought, made me skeptical this time too. But he owns it.

As Ive said before, the only mystery surrounding rex is how he gets his money. He plays into this mystery, which tells me he probably doesnt want us to know. Like I pointed out earlier in this thread, this same week he tells us he bought this car (and his camaro is getting a new fuel injection system installed, etc etc), he also posts that he had to sell firewood illegally to earn the $300 he needed to pay his heating bill. Ive always assumed drug dealer, but drug dealers can pay their bills, so I really dont know what his story is (unless he's lying about the firewood, pecans, needing money for bills, etc). I suppose the other possibility is these toys are owned by a friend/neighbor/relative who doesnt mind him taking pics all the time. Normally Id say that's his business, and it really is... but he enjoys putting that mystery out there for us to think about and for him to earn attention with. *shrug* I dont give it much thought beyond the occasional reply like this, but it seems a lot of people here do.
