New Setup

I have a 95 Mazda Millenia and am currently pushing 2 kicker 0815" L7s in a sealed box. I'm looking to get something else that would be just as loud if not louder and i have $600 to spend. I was thinking 3 or 4 12"s or getting another pair of 15"s (round subs = smaller box?). The reason why I'm switching is because its a hassle putting them in and taking them out of the trunk. I have 2200 RMS to work with at the moment. Any suggestions?

why do you take them out and put them in so much? Why dont you port both of them, if its because of space then build a ported box and try one of them ported....

Space issues. They go in easier than they come out and its just an all around *****.

how would you fit 4 12"s in a miata? and have anymore room than two 15s sealed?

its a Millenia not a Miata and I had 4 12"s in there before...two were facing forward and two upward in a sealed box. They weren't mine though

I think you are trying to cram too much crap in the trunk and hope the crap gets loud.... Just because you have 3-4 12"s does not make things as loud as possible. You have to be choking those L7s! How many cubes is the box?

I highly suggest trying one 15" in like 3-3.5cuft @30-40hz with some power. I think it might sound better than your two 15s sealed with double the power.

I will try one L7 before I go with a whole new setup. Idk how many cubes the box is and I don't know how to check. I have a lot of space in the trunk but its just a ***** getting them in and out because the top of my trunk is curved where the back window is.

again, do you take the setup out of your car a lot? If so, how come?

I don't take it out but I will be doing it a lot soon as I re do stuff in my trunk.

I think the box you have them in has it limited. Can u go out and measure the box you have them in, with that I could tell you how many cubes.

Take them out of the trunk and completly finish the trunk. Then put them back in there and you want have to keep moving them. And like everyone says one of them ported would probably be louder then them two sealed.

If he can fit 4 12s, I'm sure he can do both l7s in a ported box.
