for $200 hmmm, how much room do u got for a box? can u fit a 12, or u need an 8?

i would go with this sub

then if for whatever reason u change subs or whatever, that amp will do 100 watts to your speakers, like those cresendo's which is a perfect match as well.

if im reading that right u can do it bridged and u get this

130 watts x 2 chan. (at 4 ohms) + 420 watts x 1 chan. (at 2 ohms)

which would give 130 watts to your speakers, and 420 to the sub which would be great and for $200 is a very nice setup imo

but im not sure how thats possible for that amp to do that power? someone will have to chime in ive never seen 3 channel amps and it looks funny

Well, trunk space is pretty crucial, and I'm not a basshead, so maybe a 10 or an 8. I don't need two or anything, just a little extra whoomp would be nice.

EDIT: Right now, speakers and HU, with pro installation from this guy I know, who works on Ferrari's and stuff, who would give me a deep discount, I'm registering about 320$. Sound good?

I am leaning towards the SSA Dcon 10d4/s4... What would be the best sub-100$ amp? Not the soundstream TRX2.320?

the dcon will have very nice sq, and will really shine in a ported box.

the soundstream should work fine imo, tho i have never used one. from what i have read they are fine except the picasso series which runs quite hot. the amp i linked is tarantula. if it dont work or your not happy, ill buy it from you.

I think I have pretty much decided:

Stage 1:

HU: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X794

COMPONENTS: Crescendo CCX65

(rears: I'm gonna do them myself: Polk gxr6's, 10$ from craigslist)

Stage 2:

SUB: SSA Dcon 10D4

AMP: Soundstream TRX2.320.

One more question, what kind of box should I get/use for the dcon? Could I make one? or is it better to just buy one?

Get a class D mono amp for your sub.

Uhm as for box, build one yourself if you can!

Oh if that's the case then yes it will be just fine, and makes sense to a certain extent.

Okay, so I spoke to they guy who will be doing the install, and he said that I may want a more powerful amp. Any suggestions? Is it really necessary? Also, for a box, I want to know which of these designs are good, I want as small as possible, and I know it's not optimal, but I need the trunk.

SSA SUB BOX DESIGNS

Just navigate to the little DCON 10 section, and tell me what you think. I was looking at the smallest one, what would be the differences in SQ between any of them?

EDIT: I want to go sealed, what are your opinions on JUST the sealed boxes?

The amp would actually be perfect. However.. With D4ohm vc you will be running at 2ohm or 8ohm, neither of which are ideal for that amp, 2ohm being too low for the amp, and at 8ohms you want have the power you want.

The box is very straight forward, looks like you basically want 1cf and it is sealed so you can do what ever as long as it is deep enough to mount the sub.

Okay. It's been a few months, I got sidetracked, but I'm ready to return to this. I checked up on everything said earlier and Still really like the CCX65's. They are out of stock though, does anyone know what the estimated shipping time is? Also, I think I may go for a different head unit. USB is needed as well as aux. iPod support is a plus but not required. Will the CCX65's or similar components run just fine off the stock deck in an 09 Elantra if I go for them right now? 172 watts over six channels, I'm guessing 4x50w and then 2x6w for the tweeters or something.
