Ok, I Read the thread where LS21pimp(sorry if thats no the name) had a 12 RL-p sealed and he thought it didnt sound right, Was this because of the box being sealed or another problem? Does anyone have experience with RL-p 12's sealed in about 1.4 cubes?

not be be a dick, but that LS1pimp guy has to be 12. he created several threads about what sub to get. he didnt know in his right mind which to choose, and the differences between the subs he wanted. his discriptions lacked a clear view of what was wrong. he didnt even give the rl-p an opportunity to shine.

so he went off and bought a xxx, then all of the sudden you see in every thread him mentioning how superior this sub is. just how he went around and worded his sentences made me not believe his statements.

go to ROE.com and watch some rl-p vid clips...it might sway your opinion

Thanks, i kinda figured that, that was the case with LS1Pimp, because mike at soundsplinter said that the RL-p 12's will sound awesome in about 1.4 cubes with the ammount of power that i am going to put on them.

if i couldnt've gotten ahold of an ava before they sold out, i would have bought an SS...heard not one negative comment about them.

Yeah, im ready to get this setup, cause im already down in good ol' baton rouge at LSU, and Im tired of not having any subs.

i run 2 rl-p 12's sealed off a nine.1. right now its not getting enough voltage, i just have a single 4 gauge wire going to the back, split into 2 8 gauge wires, so the amp definitely doesnt have enough power yet.

my box is about 2.9 cuft without the subs, 2.6 with them, so 1.3 per sub. i put about 4 pounds of polyfill in the box. it is in a hatchback, so thats part of the reason, but it pounds, and sounds very nice doing it. it flexes my roof a little bit, jumps my vision, doesnt stop you from breathing but it makes you work at it a little. i parked it earlier and left it on, walked away from it just to see how far it could be heard, i got about 200 feet away to the side, and could still hear the bass clearly. if i play something like late night tip, or a bass cd, my rear view mirror will fall down every minute or less, and its not loose or anything.

so yeah, rl-ps can get nasty loud sealed. im almost scared to imagine what they would do in my car ported, but ported boxes are really hard to make for ***** ams.
