Ok, after a few long nights trying to draw up plans for a center console box for my W7 and 1000/1 i have decided to let this project wait until christmas or next summer. What i need now is 2 12" subs that will work well in 1.3-1.5 cubes sealed and probably not more than 8 inches in mounting depth. if they are dual 2 ohm coils, they will have to be able to handle around 900 watts, and if they are dual 4 ohms they will need to be able to handle around 1200 watts. The amp is an ED Nine.1. If there is any thing i left out just ask and ill tell you.

fubr's are great sealed drivers and have a small mounting depth... power seems right too

I was wanting to try some RL-P's but there is some debate over wether they perform good sealed, Ive talked to mike at sound splinter and he said that 2 rlp-s should do fine in about 1.3 cubes with around 1000 watts, has any one out there heard RL-p's in about that same setup.

hmm... loud sealed... W6's would get loud and sound good if price isn't an issue

I looked at the W6's but im kinda leaning towards a non mainstream brand for my new setup.

Ascendant's Avalanche, SS RL-P, Oz Audio Matrix Elite, RE SE, W6, IDMax... etc

They should all work well sealed with that amount of power.

There are quite a few subs that will be coming out within the next months. Why would you buy a sub now if its just gonna sit for at least 5 or 6 months? Or are you keeping the JL back and putting in something else until you can put that in.... sorry after i left work i didnt get online again, to answer some of the questions, the boxes will be approxamatly 1.6 cubes each (before any kind of sub displacement of course), also where can i buy an IDMaxes. And Bimma 85, I have the JL W7 now, but its in a box behind the passenger seat, and the seat has to be pulled all the way forward and tilted forward for the box to fit, Right now im looking gor a good set up with 2 12's sealed and the amp will be an ED nine.1, and as of right now, im either looking at the RL-p's, IDMaxes. And who knows if the setup pounds hard enough i might leave it in there for good, because im tired of that huge *** W7 taking all of my room.
