new setup cheap budget

i have a 99 nissan altima i am currently building a system for and i need a good cheap amp and sub combo that will really beat hard. i now have two 12" jl audio w0's running off a 400w clarion amp and it sucks

any suggestions would be great

no more than 400 bucks and i really dont know the difference in ported and sealed i just know they are in a obcon box with a vertical slot in the middle. i forgot to put i have a 15" snail shell box sittin in my room

well 400 will not yeild u and high output system. But if u port they JLs they wll sound better.

Oh if u have an pic of the box that would help or even an link.

Two spl2000 12's for $105 a piece from etronics.com, and a refurb dei1100d from ikesound. Will run you around $450, and if you build yourself a nice ported box it should pound.

i love my 2 jl 12w0 thats why i got 2 more comming in the mail. built the ported box last week and just that much better.

Haha, when you said spl2000 I thought you meant the SPL series of woofer. It's like, why would want those if you're going for loud or quality? Hahaha.

Seriously, build a bigger ported box, buy a better amp, and keep the subs. You can easily do that for $400. I saw a Viper d2500.1 on ebay, starting bid 300. If you were lucky you could pick that up for $400. Although, 1250 watts rms to those subs could have bad consequences.

Umm...I was talking about the spl series. The pioneer spl2000's is what I was referring to. Very capable drivers that aren't super expensive....I'm confused as to why you'd be laughing.
