my friend wants a new set up...and im glad to help him.

but my desision lies between (1) 15" HD3

or (2) 18" mj-18

i think it would be amazing to try out two 18's

i just need to know what will get louder.

he has 1000watts at 2 ohms????... only config of mj-18s is 4 and 8 ohm SVC woofers... Thus 2 4ohms = 2 ohms... just a heads up since I have no clue of setup.

I have personally never run either, but upon watching vids of the HD3, it appears to get stupid loud (can't comment on sq off vids)

two 18s would be sweet and he probably wouldn't be dissappointed.... would he go sealed or ported?? Seems like even tho the rms is what 500? I still think ANY 18 will want a lil more than that IMO.

Let's us know what he does.. and I want feedback on either setup he goes with.. especially if he does 2 18s.

i was not thinking.

but id love to do 2 18"s ported....its just that whole 2 ohms thing.

he is a pic of my box i JUST finished making....and its alot louder than my sealed enclosure now....i love it.

i know it looks gay....but it sounds so good..and thats all i care about.

external cocking isn't really necessary... between the wood and inside in the cracks is fine... please carpet that thing.. hehehe...
