Well as I was attempting to figure out why my subwoofers are still playing when the volume is off, I took out the headunit and when i put everything back in, everything was the same with the subwoofer noise but now when I turn the subwoofer off on the radio it stays on..its a Pioneer Premier DEH-500UB...im sure it was one of my stupid mistakes but the subs were turning off when I turned them off on the radio before and they arent now..The rcas were put back into the same spot on the radio in the subwoofer spot..

kinda sounds like what just happened to me today. my subs would make weird pulsating sounds in the background whole music was playing and even when i muted the system the subs would still do it. turned out to be the ground. check to soo if your ground is secure

I had 4 gauge running throughout my car and the other subs I had at the time worked fine and then i upgraded to 0 gauge..i tried to use the same ground the 4 gauge had for the 0 gauge but the ring terminal got hot and burnt through one of the rca cords..so then I moved the ground to the seat belt bolt..and the noise is pretty much the same as it was in the first ground spot..
