WTF!? no new 880PRS??

I see 2 Pioneer and 1 Premier. But that one Premier looks like the DEH-P700BT . Been waiting for a new 880prs, now this....

anyone got a suggestion for a Active-capable HU w/ 16 bands X2 of EQ builtin? Seperate DAC and EQ are just way too much.....

That new 700 is a step down from the 690. As far as 880 go's, I hope they dont replace it! Mine are great! It does everything I need. A hot swap hard drive would be nice, but not needed.

Engadget.com is good. But all the companies are now focusing on GPS + touch screen that can tell you where you cat is, they forgot about new SQ HUs. I mean 880prs is sweet, but its been 3rd/4th yrs running. Can't they just at least improve alittle w/ the grounding problem or wutnot to release a new model, it's not much work man.

I made the mistake of buying an 880...hated it. Controls were horrible, and then that awful whining. Definatly wasn't worth it.

And chad, btw got your text message. I'll call you later or message you describing how to set it up.

I like Pioneer more than the Alpine as far as features and control. I agree about the whining....I am going to send mine in for repair maybe.

Yes. I had the 640 and loved it. It was a great deck for passives. I did not have the RCA problem, but then again, that was back in the two channel days.
