New L7 v.s. Old L7 12"

Going to run One 12" L7 Dual 4 Ohm @ 2 Ohm with 750rms.

Is the 06' L7 better than the 04' L7?

What are the benefits and diffrences?

The 06 has better sound quality, and can ultimately get louder and handle more power.

Both speakers will handle that wattage, tho, and the 04 will get louder off the same amount of power, so it's gonna be a tradeoff for you between SQ and SPL, or get more power (1000-1250) and have the best of both worlds with the 06

So the new L7 sounds like it was built for Sound Quality which I'm looking for. I guess putting it in a sealed box would give it the best SQ. But can you justify putting Sound Quality and Ported Sub in the same sentence? I wanted to go ported but SQ is what I'm after. Guess thats a question for another thread. Need to find the search button.
