Hello all,
I'm requesting the help of everyone in trying to get a system into my truck that sounds incredible. I have 1989 GMC Sierra standard cab.
Listening styles run the gambit, mainly Alt Rock, but also Hip Hop/ Rap, pretty much everything but country.
Just finished sound deadening the truck with products from Don at SDS before I throw the carpet down I'm ready to wire the speakers, but after reading through the forums, not sure what exactly I should be doing.
I'm looking to throw 6.5 components down in the kickpanels using Q-Forms Kick Panel Enclosures. And possibly if I can get these to work - Scosche SA69 Convertible 6x9-Inch Speaker Adapter (can copy and paste into Amazon.com) - an extra set of components in the dash. If not, (or if not necessary), then a pair of coax 6x9's.
Also going with the JVC KD-R820BT Receiver.
Looking through the JL Audio Product Line I was looking with going with the following setup.
1 - JL Audio Slash v2 Series 500/1v2
1 - JL Audio Slash v2 Series 300/4v2
1 - JL Audio C5-650 Set
2 - JL Audio 10W3v3-4 - Low Airspace Obviously a Factor
6x9 Coax - Couldn't find a JL equivalent.
Sub enclosure to be built based on Subs
I'm trying to stay around the $1500 range and purchase new equipment.
Open to suggestions on systems, and wondering if anyone has had any luck with a GM truck and putting components in the 6x9 factory enclosure using an adapter like the one I described.
