New install question....

I sold my Izuzu Trooper a couple of weeks ago and of course took out my system.

The one in my sig. I went and had the same exact sytem installed in my Nissan Xterra. Everthing exactly the same, same size wires ( but new ones of course )and all. The only diffrence is the speaker location on my mids and highs. But now it has a massive amout of more bass going through the subs. I have the amps gain turned down even more and on the HU the bass is bown to -20. Is it because the Xterra may have a better electrical system? I could see maybe a little change in it, I was expecting that. Buy when I say it has more bass . I mean it has a butt load of more bass. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There could be a number of factors that increase the amount of bass coming from your subwoofers. The most probable and logical answer would be the electrical system, as you mentioned. My second guess would be the acoustic properties of the car itself.

Thanks for the info. I just can't get it to sound as good as it was in the trooper. The bass is fine it's the mids and highs I can't seem to get to sound right. I guess I need to invest in a nice set of comps. and lose the coax's. They seemed to sound fine in the trooper but the Xterra, sounds like crap. Is there a certain set any of you recommend? I listen to mostly rock and heavy metal. If that makes a difference. Thanks for the help.
