I dont have a laptop ,i have to use my gfs , im gonna call the guy that tuned it later. What questions should i ask him in order to get some useful info for u guys? As far as cuts do i ask what frequency he cut and the octave?

Sounds like you don’t want a SQ tune.

Do you have staging and imaging now? Does the music sound like it’s 3D coming from the hood? Bass and everything?

Example. Lead singer in the center of the dash with instruments far right and left at the A-pillars. Drums sound like they are coming from behind the singer but up higher. If you do does the image stay where it’s at the entire song.

Im getting the feeling that true sq to u guys is a perfectly set system with every frequency perfect. Im not nor will i ever be in any competition . I heard my tuners car and you he has a 3-way system it's very loud and very clear audio Frog speakers with an expensive amp the tweeters and range in a custom location he said he spent a lot of time on the doors to get every single rattle out. Although id love something like that i dont have the time or motivation to achieve such a level of quality. I want loud enough to where i dont need to max out the volume to enjoy the sound but not so expensive and time consuming

Hotel California from the hell freezes over album. It’s got like 3 people playing guitars and they are all in different locations.

But it should be obvious with any song.

You have the gear to easily do it. Maybe you need a different tuner.

Join here and look for Skizer. He’s close to you and he’s really good with the helix. I can’t stand his cocky *** but he’s good.

He can also teach you how to listen.

Well it should be good. Just tell him you want it louder. You don’t care about what it sounds like.

He’s SQ, he’s going to tune SQ unless you tell him otherwise.

I just played a old cd i had. Its one of those cds they used to sell in nyc. Its a hot 97 cd. Anyway it sounds the way i want it. At 28 i dont wanna put it any louder cause its to loud vs my auc cord on hifi tidal where at 35 i want it louder

Okay then just turn up your SLA for aux plain and simple this was all just a pre-out voltage issue from the start like i said. Just dont be a wimp on turning it up. You dont need to change anything with the tune or know what he cuts, he probably knows how to tune that SQ perfectly...

Seriously tho for your goals, you could have just gotten by with 70 dollars worth of mids, and 100 dollars worth of tweets and you achieved your goals of loud and clean easily. Kinda wasted if you dont know how what good SQ is.

Might be a plug in type deal. Most newer HU have that black plug in the back of HU or up front on the faceplate.

AUX compresses bad. USB isn’t CD quality but it’s not far off

one question, when the guy did the tuning, what music source did he use? if he used usb or cd to tune? He actually should have used your phone with aux connection to tune. Not his phone not anyone else's phone. It has to be YOUR phone because its till running off your phone's dac.

He tuned using frequencies off of a cd, he barley adjusted with music, he sampled a spng or 2 off his ipod did not touch my phone

then its not gonna work out. Whenever you tune someone's car you need to use the source they will play every day to tune, not some other source they wont ever touch, I'm sure he knows how to tune properly but this aspect of the tune is rather important. Either way, have you raised the SLA for the aux yet? Raise it up +2 or 3 then go up slowly on the volume knob and report back results.
