ok, im about to order some new stuff to upgrade my current system of.....

pioneer 4600 deck

2 2000spl's

blown pioneer 4x6's, 6x9's

this will all be replaced by

ss Rl-p12

power acoustik xp2k-60c comps

profile comp amp

kick panels

i would like a new deck, but has to meet these requirements:

under $200 shipped (maybe a lil more if its worth it)

nice display (i would prefer multicolor display, maybe some graphics, backgrounds, etc)

remote

sub rca output

easy to control, as i drive a lot and don't like to have to fondle the buttons....

i would also like to have better sq than the 4600, (i realize u can't measure sq, but maybe u have experience with a certain deck's sq)

hp/lp filters

Just guesse what Ill say...

Kenwood KDCMP7028, or 4028, the 4028 doesn't have the fancy display or aux input.

The sub control, front/rear/subxover, bal/fad bass,mid,treble are all accessible through the volume knob, both come with remote and have 4volt outputs.

The 7028 has that G-analyzer built into it and a bunch of other display modes.

i've always kinda liked kenwood, never owned one, but my friends have, and i thought they were pretty good....btw, what kenwoods have the fold out face?i really liked that look......i was lookin into the sony CDX-8800, the 8815X and the M630, as well as the F7005X....and also the pioneer 7700mp......are the sony's any good???thanks in advance again.

The 4028 has a manual flip down while the 7028 has a motorized slide down like you would find on some Eclipse decks.

The Sony decks are good these days, a few years ago I would have told you to avoid them like the plauge but they hav since got their act together.

The Pioneers have a nice look and lots of features, can't really say anything bad about them I used to own a 7200 and it worked well for me.

I've heard the sony's were pretty good, and i love their looks. I like pioneer (as u can see) but i'm kinda wanting something a lil different....anyone else u recommend?
