Hey guys *and girls*

Im new to this board, but been into car audio for a while. My current setup consists of...

Sony CDA-650x HU

4-Infinity 652i 6.5's runnin off HU

Now the rest...

Legacy 1030 1000W amp... i kno i kno...

2-RF 2812 Punch Z subs... i kno i kno...

My question is...

I kno that my amp and subs need to be upgraded. But which should I upgrade first? I have about 300 dollars to spend and I was looking at going to a single sub setup. I was thinking RF HX2. Or Audiobahn. Something that will give good tight bass and blow the FVCK outta my current subs. *which shouldnt be too hard to do* My amp will run 500x2 peak bridged. And the HX2 handles 500 peak per coil (DVC). Anyone have experience with these subs? any pics/suggestions of installs? Thanks alot guys. Hope to get to know some of you in the future!

Those hx2s are massive. I think one 10 weighs like 50 pounds. JL, Alpine, Alumapro, make nice subs that are under $300.

you must be talking about the powers...because the punches aren't that big. The powers are like 350-400 for the 12's...

I would go with the Hx2- 500watts rms and 1000watts max. That sub pounds hard as hell.Put it in a Ported box, and it will **** the other subs up

i've heard both and hx2's sound lots worse than audiobahn...at least their aluminums. they can be had for $300 a pair. Also, they have much better power handling. 1000 wrms, 2000wpeak. Just make sure you get a sealed box.

aluminum audiobahns eh? Thats a good choice, i guess, but i dont wanna have to buy another amp. are they DVC? if so, id only be putting 500 peak to each coil. how would that sound?

wanna keep your amp? get 2 adire shivas 250 shipped from jlaine will hump and sound good

The alum audiobahns are DVC. They can be ran with a 6 ohm or 3 ohm load. If you can hearr them somewhere before you I'd suggest it, to make sure you like them. They are very nice though. One more thing, they require a big-o-box. They move a lot of air. Hope this helps!

hope that was an opinion on the alums soudning better than the HX2's b/c i have an opinion on those and they **** nuts in my opinion. i have never heard a good setup with them but also i have only heard them in small boxes in trunks and everyone i know is too freakin stupid to listen to me and buy dynamat even when running 500+ watts in there cars. anyway yeah go with 2 shiva's man they are AWESOME SUBS.

I heard 2 12" alums in a rav4 cargo area. They were in a huge sealed box, powered by a power bd500 with about 400watts to each. Sounded nice and clean in there. Go with what you think will work best. I'd look up the specs on all of them in question and consider everything including recomended box size. Good luck with your purchase!

i was going single sub setup. i heard 15' don play as clean thats why i wanted 12's. was i BS'd again!?
